The men in black

Drama , drama and more drama. You can't get enough of real life actions than any soap opera you've seen on tv.

World cup has been very entertaining so far with twists like brawling match and controversial goals. The joga bonito factor is instantly killed by the referees conducting the match. Seriously, all of them deserve to be head shot. To the extreme, there was a match ended with 20 cards shown ; 4 reds, 16 yellow cards. OMFG !!!

Kelong or what? you tell me. Yesterday match between Italy and Australia was another pulsative match. Another heart attack display by the Italians who had Marco Materazzi sent off early in the game for a reckless tackle which only looked like a yellow card to most of the viewers. And yet, once again the referee decided to flash the red card gracefully without using their freaking brains.

It could have been an ill-fated match for the Italians once more who are famously known for their ruthless behaviour on the field. But they held on, keeping their spirits high and fighting for their pride.
Playing with 10 men and being attacked constantly, the Socerroos couldn't barge their way through the Azzuri's solid defence. Brilliant displays by Buffon and Co. kept the Aussies at bay.

In the end, Italy survived the onslaught and was emerged as winners through another controversial call by the infamous men in black. A heartbreaker moment for Australia and the fans. A cruel blow to Hiddink and his debut team in the knockout stage, but you can only have 1 winner.

Somehow, whether you hate the calls and the blunders made, the referee still holds the power to decide matches and to some people, they may even considered as saviour in times of trouble. =)
Let's just hope as the game goes by, they improve their judgement and not make any bad calls that proves to be a decisive turn for a team.

Forza Azurris!!!
