The Heart of The Matter

In life only one thing is certain, apart from death and taxes;

No matter how hard you try, no matter how good your intentions are,

You are going to make a mistake.

You are going to hurt people

You are going to get hurt.

And if you ever want to recover, there's really only one thing you can say...

Forgive and forget.

That's what they say. It's a good advice, but it's not very practical.

When someone hurts us, we want to hurt them back.

When someone wrong us, we want to be right.

Without forgiveness old scores never settle.

Old wounds never heal, and the most we can hope for

is that someday we'll be lucky enough to forget.

Do you think we can totally wipe off our past in this life? They remain in us as memories. There are memories I would like to wipe off from my life. Unfortunately, the more you want to get away from them, they tend to get freaky and eat deeper into me.

we can't wipe what's bury deep inside of us. I agree, they eat us up when they caught us off guarded, when we're alone or maybe to places that we're familiar with.

What can we do? we're not plugs and switches that can be turned off whenever we like. We're human, and the great thing about it, is that we have feelings. They don't come and go like the wind, they stay there for a reason, epecially when we're with the people we're most comfortable with.

New memories will somehow beat the old bad ones. Just wait and seize the moment. then when you found it, hold on to it and dont u ever dare let it go.

mine slipped.

You have you point. I recovered pretty fast even though I do not need to have new memories to beat the old bad ones.
